Cities & metropolitan areas with at least 100,000 inhabitants
- Hannover, Braunschweig, Osnabrück, Oldenburg, Wolfsburg, Göttingen, Hildesheim, Salzgitter, Lüneburg
Communities south of Hamburg within max. 50 km radius:
- District of Harburg: e.g. Buchholz in der Nordheide, Seevetal, Winsen (Luhe), Rosengarten, Jesteburg, Tostedt
- Southern District of Stade: e.g. Horneburg, Apensen, Buxtehude (fringe area)
- Communities in the Hamburg metropolitan area (southwest & southeast): e.g. Neu Wulmstorf, Stelle, Hollenstedt, Hanstedt
- Focus on good accessibility to Hamburg via A1, A7, or Metronom/regional rail
